Yolanda Ren
Hi! I am a Chinese multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. My practice uses installations and performances focused on interactive elements to explore the reimagining of human connection and collective experience in response to systemic alienation under neoliberal capitalism.
I integrate objects, projections, images, videos, text, performances, and interactive elements into my works.
My overarching goal is also to bridge classical philosophical theories from both analytic and continental traditions with contemporary art by transforming these theoretical structures through subjective interpretation and personal artistic expression.
I completed my undergrad in 2025 at the University of Toronto (St. George campus), specializing in Philosophy and minoring in Visual Studies.
